What's that got to do with our eating meat?

And we control everything in the world. The house you live in, the internet we are using... It's all human made. Not animal made. We are way smarter than animals. Hundreds or probably thousands of deer get hit by motorists on roads that aren't even busy every year. They are incredibly stupid creatures. I'm not sure what makes you think they are so smart.

And spiders control all spider webs in the world. They couldn't give less of a **** that we can build internets... While everyone obviously knows that other species of animals don't have the intellectual capacity we do, I still can't understand why you think that matters unless you base your feeling of superiority on how well humans can kill with other animals, because in any other context it doesn't mean anything for anyone except us. It certainly doesn't matter to other animals, nor does it benefit them.

Y'know... other animals are superior to us in a LOT of ways. Intelligence only trumps that if we're competing with them, and we're still odd man out in a lot of scenarios.
I don't care how smart you think you are, you are very likely to be outmatched in every way that matters if you are put in a wits vs. brawn battle against most animals out there, provided you aren't absolutely prepared.. which... hey, let's just assume you're not prepared for everything all of the time, as absurd as that may seem to you...

I think it's safe to say that we're definitely a more advanced species than any other on the planet (unless, of course, you count Mice and Dolphins).

In some ways, I think animals have a much better idea of how to deal with this world than we do. They're not the ones damaging it for personal gratification. Sounds like a smart move to me.

oh ffs

Is it bad that I know animals suffer and I still eat meat anyway? Of course, does that make me a bad person? Depending on your definition of a bad person then maybe.

It's really what we think of ourselves that matters, since Nature can be pretty brutal too. If I think I'm king of the universe and I'm really not, then I'm in conflict with everything around me that doesn't validate my delusion.

I hate when people just reiterate the same things over and over and make the same point a million people before them made.

If you get hungry enough, you'll eat whatever you can get your hands on. Trust me on this.
