wow i can't believe i really didn't notice how bad that was.
i think have such low standards for grammar these days that my mind just ignores most of that stuff. people can really butcher this language...

yeah...i think in people's heads they just pronounce them the same way and never know which one to properly use. when i was much younger i started pronouncing them in my head much differently than each other just to make sure i got it right.
edit: to your last quote...americans can and do, but i have heard other people butcher it as well. as hopeless as i find the education system here...i can't totally disregard it.

i find it hilarious that he mentions we are semi-pretentious...and now we are nitpicking his grammar.
this fits too perfectly. his music taste probably is horrid.
