it's one thing to be uninhibited, it's another to act like a hedonist. where's the self respect for one's body? a modicum of sanctity for the only act that can perpetuate life?

do public schools actually teach legitimate sex education anymore or are they still just trying to push the whole abstinence agenda?

i remember getting that in grade 4 and most of us already understood where babies came from. maybe it's reflective of growing up in a rural area where cycles of life are more apparent and discussed openly as part of nature as opposed to uptight/urban views where nature is foreign.

I live in a very urban area and we have full sex ed. I guess the East Bay is kind of a liberal bubble though.

i'm guessing connecticut.

either way, i was just curious since it seems to me that proper sex ed leads to less teen pregnancies and healthier habits overall. just that i also remember reading that it had been removed from a lot of schools over the last few years as well because some parent groups didn't want to have to own up to their kids that they liked to rub genitals.

Yeh, it's crazy that parent groups can pressure schools into teaching abstinence.

Well usually if the parents don't get their way they'll take their kids out of that school.
