Default Stand-Up Comedy

Anyone else a huge fan?

My favorites:

George Carlin (best there ever was)
Mike Birbiglia
Demitri Martin
Richard Pryor
Jim Gaffigan
Bill Hicks
Bill Burr
Arj Barker

Blue Collar Comedy Tour was pretty funny too, except Larry the Cable Guy.

My bad if there's already been one

How not to handle a heckler:

As much as I love Bill, he had a pretty weak response to the heckler.

How was it "weak"? It was over-the-top and completely stream-of-consciousness, I found it to not only be funny but very satisfying. It's what anyone would have done if they didn't have the social mechanisms to stop themselves. Completely unleashed at her. Better than Carlin's response, I think.

That whole performance is funny. Later on she starts up again and he tells her boyfriend "Sir, will you stick your **** in her mouth and shut her up?". He goes off on a huge rant later when someone shouts "Freebird". I find it to be very entertaining because he bombs so much but doesn't care, he knows it's funny and I know it's funny. The audience were just expecting all **** jokes.

I think had Youtube existed back when Bill did that show, he would have ended with a fate similar to Michael Richards.

So expletive-filled rants with no meaning, wit or cleverness to them is something to aspire to? I think a middle schooler is capable of that. I find bombing to be just that, bombing.
