I'd agree that Louie CK is overrated. not a bad comedian, but not as good as people make him out to be.

He's brilliant no doubt. Chris Rock is the one I find harder to understand the appeal of in terms of intelligence and innovative comedy. He's just a good comedian to me.

Chris Rock is just relate-able. He doesn't have to have innovative comedy.

I guess that doesn't work for you if that's what you look for in stand up but I just watch stand up to laugh and have a good time. People with their personal stories are friggin hilarious.
