In real life you're probably just keeping the flies alive because you plan on injecting them into the mouth and lungs of your next victim until suffocation occurs.

Dude, no! What did the flies ever do to deserve that? Seriously, use plastic ones. Victim cannot tell difference. Will feel like flies are alive under pressure of objects in lungs and knoweledge of inevitable death.
