I Am Legend was a bore.

i loved 28 Days Later. the second one - not so much.
Resident Evil series is great. all the new Romero remakes are great.
Quarantine was fun. i've yet to see the original (REC)
Zombieland - oh yeah! really enjoyed that, it had some good energy.

Left4Dead 2 is a blast. decapitating flaming zombies with a chainsaw is quite entertaining.

zombies are great, but really i'm a fan of the whole "survival fiction" genre. Mist, Cloverfield, Tremors, Pitch Black - yeah

Anyway, share anything zimbie related that you love.

Right now, I'm reading The Living Dead

It's a compilation of short stories about, you guessed it, the living dead. There have been a couple really good ones, including one about a teacher so caught up in her profession that she keeps teaching even after all the kids in the class are dead.

I am a frim believer in the "zombies don't run" school of thought, although I truly enjoyed the 28 Days/Weeks later films, since they got around the rules by using a virus

What is/are your favourite zombie stories and movies
What about Rob Zombie? LOL

The second one wasn't anywhere near as good as the first. But the opening scene in it was probably one of the best ever.

The balance has been redressed:

I didn't care for Resident Evil the first time I saw it, but it seems like a series that is starting to get more recognition in hindsight, so maybe I'll check it out again. Quarantine was fantastic, the ending was seriously creepy and Zombieland was just good zombie fun

I prefer White Zombie to Rob Zombie, but he has a new album coming out so maybe he can redeem himself. I do like his films though. His Halloween remake was much better than most of the remakes that have come out recently. House of 1,000 Corpses was pretty good, even if the ending blew.

I don't know. I like both the movies quite a bit, but in the first one, I pretty much hated everything from the point where they get to the army base onwards. To each their own, I suppose.

^ This. Plus the film kinda tailed off into lameness after a promising first half for me.

This one here's probably my favourite zombie movie...

^ The remake in case anyone's wondering.

I liked the second movie too.

It's just that the opening scene was so great that I felt the movie set a pace and intensity weren't reached again until you were well into the movie. I understand that they wanted to develop the plot but I could have done without the first 40 minutes or so of the movies after the opening and up until the action starts again.
