A fun blend of cheesy B grade horror and surf punk. A decent album but I only bothered finding it because Snowman went on to record The Horse, The Rat and The Swan.

Well I just watched Zombieland with my flatmates earlier on (we rearranged half the lounge and set up the projector for it) and it's no Shaun of the Dead but it's a fun piece of mindless entertainment. 90 mins well spent.

This really is essential reading.

As for movies well I just have to pick the original Day Of The Dead but I like so many.

Zombi AKA Dawn Of The Dead pt2 (Lucio Fulci classic, splintered eyeballs, Zombie Vs Shark face off which is a great piece of cinema)
The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue (still going to review this in my horror corner)
City Of The Living Dead (early 80's Eurotrash yay)
The Beyond
Zombie Holocaust
All Romero's Zombie films
Re-Animator
Grapes Of Death ( little known atmospheric film set in the French countryside)
The Plague Of The Zombies (absolute classic Hammer Horror from 1964).

I read World War Z not to long ago, I'd recommend you check it out if you haven't already.

Also read this a while back:

It's a book of haiku poems written from the POV of a guy whose been bitten by a zombie. It's good for a laugh anyhow.

Favorite zombie movie is the original Night of the Living Dead. I never could get over the ending.
Thats where your Avatar's from isn't it? (Never seen it before btw)

I'm a zombie/movie noob. But I've seen

it's like a rip of of, Dawn of the Dead, which I've also seen.

Does this count?

Have you played Left4Dead at all? Its pretty much a video game version of Dawn of the Dead. In L4D2, you can play a whole campaign at a shopping mall. Something about running around a mall with an axe attacking zombies makes you feel relaxed...

"Last Man on Earth", starring Vincent Price, is worth watching if you want a good suspenseful movie without much gore. It was released in 1964, and appears to have been a major influence on George Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" movie.
It was based on the Richard Matheson novel "I am Legend."

Of course. It is the basic civilian survival manual for zombie attacks.

I thought "I am Legend" was rather overrated. I think it's just those of us who have seen a decent amount of zombie horror films expect real zombies and by that I mean played by actors with make up and pig's entrails on them. Those stupid CG zombies did nothing for me.
