For me, pretty darn well i'd say! Had lunch with someone i'm crazy about, hung out all day, drank some mixers, off to a good start. You?

I was up till 7am enjoying the most memorable night of 2009. Talk about ending on a good note, or getting started on the right foot... and the fun is continuing.

Sat alone playing Xenogears. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

With a hangover.

I was sick 5 times. Fell asleep until 8pm, and now I have insomnia.

I woke up late and read all day long, watched some "Cake Boss". It was lazy and wonderful.

went to a bar and had no idea there would be a live band...and a pretty solid one at that. played a good selection of covers and an amazing cover of business time. really nice weather today, surprisingly. overall...so far so good.

Went to bed around 6am (well I tried to, another guy that passed out at my friend's house was snoring as bad as I've ever heard anyone snore). Then I said goodbyes to my friend and his girlfriend and the others I met that night, headed to my dad's place to shower and pack my bags, met up with my sister and her family for lunch, watched the kids ice skate, then headed to the airport to fly back to Seattle.

My girlfriend and I broke up over the break. Fresh start for a new year and new decade. I'm a little sad of course, but it was long overdue and I'm looking forward to doing what I want to do.

My friends and I made the most epic apple bong, then got ridiculously stoned and watched all three Back to the Future movies. We had many laughs, contemplated time travel, and then I fell asleep. The following day, the first day of the new decade, we chilled out in my bedroom and made some music.

Pretty good start to my new year if you ask me. Best friends, laughs, happiness, music, and '80s films. Makes me a little bit sad to be leaving most of them in a months time!

Got on the net, while nursing my hangover, and downloaded 6 Kinks albums.

I am drunk for past 14 hours....

I was gigging in a packed pub with a free bar for most of it, I got payed a heavy wad of cash and drank lots afterwards. So started well as far as I'm concerned.

A whimper rather than the bang I was hoping for.

My New Years Day was incredibly tame and relaxing actually. I woke up around 8:30 (I did go to sleep at 2 so it's not bad) walked over to my dad's apartment which I'm watching over, had a shower, fed the cat, etc. Then I met up with my friend who I'm staying with and his girlfriend for breakfast. After that I took a few bong hits, read some of Mr. Be Gone by Clive Barker, then went book shopping with the friends I'm staying with. I ended up getting The Necronomicon by H.P. Lovecraft that has almost everything he ever wrote for 7 bucks! Hardcover and everything, probably the best deal I've gotten in awhile. We came back here and watched episodes 2-5 of the Venture Bros. season 4 and then I went downtown to see one of my best friends. We gambled for a bit, wandered around downtown in search of an old restaurant that's supposedly a front for the Hell's Angels Biker Gang, but we couldn't remember the name so we went to White Spot. Then we departed, I took a ferry back over to North Vancouver, took a few more bong hits, and read some more of my Clive Barker book. All in all a very welcome start to the new year, exponentially better than last year's shitfest of a start.

****in' great. I went to a show where three of my friends' bands were playing. Then I stayed up through the night and morning; had only three shots the entire night. Got some exercise, watched some old Loony Tunes episodes, and went to my friends' house for a cook-off where I made two 3-foot philly cheesesteaks and wrecked all my friends in Wii bowling.

Watched a documentary about cold war and finished yesterdays bottle of wine.

Went to a club with a few of my friends and got hammered drunk. Afterwards we all went back to my friend's apartment for more drinks and to smoke some skunk. I passed out on the sofa eventually then woke up a few hours later still stoned. Went home later yesterday afternoon to get some food and relax for the rest of the day. I went to sleep at about 12 last night. Today i had work from 9 to 6 and that went pretty ok, despite catching someone shop-lifting and dealing with a few narky customers. Now i'm on the interwebs and drinking a bottle of bud. It's been a good decade so far!

I hate to diss a decade after only 2 days but not what I was hoping for thus far.

New Years eve I wok up at around 1 or 2 and just chilled until I went to dinner with my family at some Italian place at like 6:30. After that I went to a party which started off pretty lame but got a lot more fun as time went on.

I ha a chance to try smoking weed for the first time I was there. A good friend of mine had brought some and this girl I like wanted to do it with us. I was really curious but it kind of fell through after we didn't have anything to smoke it with and we didn't have a definite ride anywhere to get something to use. I'm still not really sure as of now if I would have done it or not, the only thing really keeping me from doing it is having my closer friends look down on me for it.

Anyway it was a fun party and everything went well with the girl I'm into. Fell asleep at like 4 that night and woke up around 12 and then went bowling with a big group of friends and then just slept at a friends house. Woke up this morning (or I guess by now it's yesterday) at like 12 and went home and I'm just spending my last day of christmas break at home by myself.

I will now respond not so drunk. I spent the first moments of the new decade with my classmates drinking bubbly from countdown in Antarctica, marvelling at its beauty as the sun, yes the sun shone down on us. I moved onto drinking more with my closer mates and I spent time cuddling up with one totally soaking up every inch of beauty that Antarctica withholds.

I felt like I was in heaven.

Thankfully each were not as bad as expected.

smoked a few doobs on new years day, ate food and watched sherlock holmes. i fell asleep multiple times; i didn't think it was a very good movie. holed myself up at home for a few days because i need solitude and i feel like recording music, so that's what i've been doing.

Me and Kristy are much closer now. I like it a lot.

Mine was so-so. I'm hoping this year will be a whole lot better than my 2009.

I timed it so I was taking a hit off my bowl when the decade turned. The song on my speakers was Jeffrey Lewis' cover of the Crass song, 'End Result'

I woke up on New Years day with a very sore head, around 4 or so the door to the room I was sleeping in was kicked in and basically slapped me right in the face. The ensuing fight completely buckled frame of my friend's couch, his apartment was looking pretty sick by the morning.

If we rewind just a little I actually passed over into the New Year lost in a sea of people swarming on the beach.
