Today, I spent my day in the kitchen. My metaphorical husband would be so proud.

Today my mom cooked me food, but I had been working really hard before dinner was ready and I hadn't calmed down yet, so I couldn't find the peace to eat yet (I have that, yeah). So later this night I baked some buns and put burgers on them.
MLIA. Couldn't be much more average than that

I have a slight fever (about 38.5°). I woke up at 7 am today after a really bad night with maybe three hours of sleep in total, feeling really miserable. I took a bath, but it didn't help. I was cold, my neck and chest were hurting, I was short of breath, and I was dizzy. I then went back to bed and slept for four hours. When I woke up I felt much better. I have sweated so much during the night that my whole bed is drenched. My pillows and my duvet have even turned yellow.

So a friend of mine comes by, we're going to clean her car together.
She would be here at 12:30pm. My cleaning lady would be here at 12:00 so I figured that's a bit unpractical. I texted my cleaning lady if she could be here at 10:30-11. So I went to bed... rather early. Couldn't get any sleep. Fell asleep at 6am and my alarm went off at 10am. ****. Then my cleaning lady texted me she'd be later becuase her car wouldnt start. Then my friend texted me she'd be here at 2:30pm because she wanted to stay here till late and still had some stuff to do so she could be here as long as she wanted. Then I texted my cleaning lady if she would be here any time soon, because if she wouldn't, I would go back to bed. She texted me she was about to leave home and would be here in 20 minutes. But that she would do the upper floor first so I could get some sleep (which is really nice of her). But that's not useful at all, because I still have to get some groceries. When she's done with the upper floor it's like 1:30pm so I will have to get to the store by then... MLIA. And I could have gotten a lot more sleep.

This morning, I dropped my Kenny Loggins vinyl behind my TV and spent over an hour performing a rescue mission - I have a floor model television that weighs several hundred pounds. Kenny Loggins was unscathed, and my happiness remained unblemished. MLIA.

About six weeks ago the locking mechanism of my car door handle broke, so I went to a local mechanic, who told me to buy a new one and he`d put it on for me. Because my car is an '85 model VW, the spare parts aren`t German anymore; they`re cheap and Chinese. Anyway, the mechanic changed the lock for me but within a month this cheap replacement had broken too. So I went back to the mechanic and we were both complaining about cheap Chinese parts when he told me he might have a second-hand lock out the back that would fit.
Luckily, after ten mins hunting around, he found an original German lock with the latch and everything working perfectly. He put it on and only charged me $20. As I was handing over the cash, I asked him for the only thing that was missing: the key. So he said to me, "Well, you should have the key already - this is the lock I took off your car a month ago."
