Member of the Year - Loathsome Pete. Honestly I think he's the best writer on here and through his blog and posts I've found a ton of my new favorite music.

Most Improved Member - Captain Caveman. I think he surprised a lot of people with his journal... the quality was up there with the best I've ever seen on here and he was completely appropriate with handling the responses and comments (unlike... maybe 90 percent of the other correspondence I've seen from him). I think he deserves a win for proving he isn't just here to be sarcastic funny.

Most Missed Poster - sleepy jack. I miss his humour and he seemed like a nice guy.

Best new 2009 member - I've got to give it to Btown. He's an all around good poster with a dynamite taste in music. And hey storymilo... you come in a very close second place. I also want to give a shout out to Freebase... I don't know a lot about the kind of music you like but your one funny guy.

Most virtuosic - Laterius. I liked her work so much I had to have her send me an mp3.

  Very hard to choose, I guess AwwSugar, as she's incredibly nice with every living being. At first I thought she was being sarcastic, but no, she's actually that nice. I wanted to also add Jackhammer, but he's got a more balanced niceness, tho he weirdly added me as a friend the first week I joined (and I still haven't thanked him for that, I'm such a bad friend). Plus mojopinuk in here, incredibly helpful also.

  I don't think this has anything to do with "improved member", but I'm gonna name Molecule. He vanished for a period of time, and then came back as Jinsie (which I discovered only a month ago), and then back to his old Molecule self ... I guess it's a kind of evolution(?). (Plus I just noticed that in the whole list I only mentioned his avatar tho he contributes so much more)

  I guess I'm closest to the members that joined MB in the period I joined, and I really do enjoy these guys: Kay, BTown, story and Dr.Seuss, so I don't think I can choose between them (that's pathetic). So I think I'll nominate a member that I never talked to, but that has continuously surprised me with his musical knowledge, and that person is Loveissuicide.

Thank you my good sir. I probably shouldn't be replying offhandedly like this, in this thread, but no one ever sees when I make posts regarding music I like, so I've decided to just respond to people directly when the topic arises.

I love:
underground hiphop, punk (circa late 80's - mid 90's), a great deal of disgusting, hard, rip your face off electronica (drum & bass, NSbreaks, but also progressive styles), dirty Mississippi Blues, and experimental/IDM.

I also love classical, but I prefer it to be mixed with one of the above genres if possible.

Anything else you'd like to know, hit me up.

I donno about that, I was pretty excited to your journal entry, introducing the music you like with -Minus No Madness- and then everything stopped at chapter one (which I enjoyed immensely btw).

• Moderator of the Year – Bulldog. He’s just the nicest guy, always responds to all posts directed at him. Just seems like a really chill, laid back person, but his hard work on MB is obvious.

Yea... I've been meaning to get around to jolting some life into that... I just get tediously ridiculed by people every time I don't dumb myself down, so you can see how I just lose motivation for things.
