Goodnight, Sweet Prince (mininova)
After many years of steadfast, trusty service, mininova has decided to limit itself to Content distribution torrents. BAWWW this is a sad day for the intarwebz. So any other good torrent sites considering demonoid is still down, and tpb was put down?

I just read the same thing on someone's Facebook status update, they phrased it exactly how you did - "a sad day for the intarwebz."
Anyway, I use What.Cd (https://ssl.what.cd/). It's the best for everything I could possibly need in torrents. I think you may possibly need an invite though and I don't have any left |

Another one bites the dust (mininova goes down)
Mininova has limited its torrents to "content distribution" (only torrents which the owners upload themselves). Demonoid is down, thepiratebay is hanging on by a thread and now this...sad news...

Why not use music blogs? The downloading process is much quicker... It's only a matter of time before they shine the spotlight on this sharing platform but for now I think the labels just see it as free publicity...
or you could access the 'deep web'... |

We talked about that in another thread. I usually go to mininova if I can't find a particular album or if I want to download entire discographies, which certainly isn't quicker via the blogs. Also, I download a whole lot more than just music, like books and films and comics and such...:/

public torrents are just the tip of the iceberg. try a good private music tracker.
get yourself an invite to what.cd or waffles.fm and you'll never have to search for music again or yeah, blogspot works, but you never know what bitrate you're getting, which can be irritating. there are some great forums out there too - get whole discographics on rapidshare with a single click. yeah. then there is usenet for people who have the time to figure out how it works

seriously though what do you get out of downloading entire discographies in one go? surely if you must acquire all their albums you could download one and soak it in while the next one downloads, then you don't have to wait 50 years to end up with a swathe of albums, half of which you'll probably not have the time to listen to.. i guess that's why they call them torrents,
