extratorrent.com aka ET is good. If I don't find it there, I do a search on torrentz.com, and you can bring up a list of sites to download the file from- including mininova, monova, tpb, seedpeer, et, and more...

I use blogs and slsk mostly. I'm also on what.cd but since you have to keep your ratio up, I only use it as a last resort. It's true that with blogs you usually don't know the bitrate (just have to estimate based on file size), which is why I usually use slsk.
And I'm with you on discogs, Molecules. I prefer to soak in one album at a time and not overwhelm myself. I'm all over the place with different artists and genres all the time, I don't need a whole discog at once. But to each their own, no sense trying to convince anyone.

Wow, I feel really special for being a member of What.CD now. I had NO idea that they had an interview process?! I've been a member for ages, since their old one was closed down and they created What.CD.
Anyway, it's by far the best IMO. |

Can anyone on this site either A) Get me an invite, or B) Help me figure out how to use mIRC so I have a shot at this "interview" Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top. |

That said, that's why it's my last resort.

And yeah, I'm really sorry I don't have any invites or anything, they must've been used up because I can't find an option to invite people anywhere, so yeah sorry But like other people have said, searching for albums as zip or rar files on mediafire and other sites like that is just as easy and effective. I actually use that method quite a bit when I want an album to download straight away. |

I got a rapidshare account, if you're google savvy you can probably find plenty of blogs that have band's discographies up in a list with everything available for download. It's no harder than searching for a torrent in my opinion. And you never have to worry about ratio or uploading anything, which is pretty convenient. It seems like far too much work getting an invite to one of these sites when I can find most of what I want somewhere with google.
