Default Anyone have any experience selling art?

I am currently in high school, I will be graduating in a year and have been starting to think about university. I realize it is going to be very expensive and have been working to get some money before hand. I was wondering if selling artwork could be an alternative source of income in the mean time. I do a lot of sketches and little projects here and there just for fun and thought there may be a possibility to get some extra cash from selling my artwork. I have had some good reception from some people on music banter already and a lot of my friends really like my work aswell. Is there any specifics I should know before selling anything? or what is the best way to come about doing so? would anyone be interested in buying these?
btw here is some of my drawings in links:

thinking about selling your own artwork? good luck. it is agonizingly difficult to establish yourself as a professional artist under your own terms.

if you actually intend on making money, freelance work is your best bet. talk to local businesses and institutions, see if they need anything done. show them your portfolio and see what turns up.

Since you're still pretty young your best bet would probably be selling art to your peers, though I don’t have a lick of experience selling art so don't take my word for it. There was a guy at my school who made portraits and airbrush tee-shirts of people like Lil Wayne, even though he was capable of doing much more. Thats what people wanted so thats what he gave them, could be something to consider.

that sounds pretty interesting, there is a custom t-shirt store a few blocks from my house, if I get 12 customized shirts its pretty cheap to buy, maybe I could design something.

This guy is a close friend of mine. He's a young guy from a small town who has found some success with his artwork. One of the most genuine, friendly people I know. And his studio is starting to really pick up business...He would be more than happy to offer you some advice..Tell him Jason from Louisiana sent you...

first suggestion is get of deviantart. It's a breeding ground for 13 year old girls who take black and white pictures of a lamp post and it's shadow and call it really deep art. Also crappy fannime.

in the long run it would probably be cheaper to just buy your own airbrush kit, cuts out the middleman from stealin' all your money.. that plus a dozen plain tee shirts is probably less expensive anyways. Good luck though, you might need it.
