Yeah, good point. Okay, granted it would take a little searching. But It was still pretty easy. Just look at the comments to see if it's a virus, and if the discog doesn't have all the main albums just look into another "disgoc" and fill in the blanks. It would take maybe ten minutes to half an hour depending on how many albums it was... sometimes it would take like a week actually. Only in cases like Brian Eno, Frank Zappa, Sun Ra, Miles Davis, etc

Still, try pulling off getting 74 albums for one artist in less then a week through mediafire.... idk maybe you could do it.

Haha ok, if I wanted to download something like Frank Zappa's discography, I would go straight to demonoid. It's just not worth the effort to hunt down all those albums. I just don't really download discographies very often; I usually prefer to work my way through slowly and just get 2 or 3 at a time. And I guess to be honest, it's probably easier to go through torrents if I want 3 or more, but I usually just blog them all anyway.

I'm bumping this, hope it's OK. I'm just wondering where others acquire their music these days. Do people still use torrents? Because I'm rebuilding my music library I'm trying to work out the easiest way to get a bunch of music. I've got uTorrent but I'm not sure which sites to get the actual torrents from. Or do people not use torrents anymore? Thanks so much for any help!

Torrents are in VERY short supply these days. Demonoid is gone, though back but very restricted in content I find. Isohunt seems to have gone too, and kickass is the only one I can use now, even then most of the torrents don't work for me. Though that is I think down to the Irish ISPs who all seem to have signed up to bend over and take it for the RIAA...

Personally, I use mostly this site Download mp3 music from megaboon.com --- albums at less than a dollar? All the new releases? Can't be beaten. There are other sites I use too. Then there's Grooveshark and Spotify of course, though you can't buy from them. Oh, and Itunes ---- NOT! It'll be a cold day in Hell the day I pay their outrageous prices.

You can also get some albums on YouTube; you know how to download from there of course?

Let me know if I can be of any help, and as I said in the other thread if yuo want a list of what I got you only have to ask.

TH

I do one of two things: Look for it on Filestube, and search on Google for, "(Name of the album) + blogspot". For example, "Amesoeurs Amesoeurs blogspot". Out of curiosity I actually decided to check and see what would come up, and literally every result on the first page has a download link.

Isohunt is where I get all my torrents and I never have any problems with it. Another great site to get music downloads is mp3crank.com, it's usually great for new releases.
