Hmm.. That's somewhat true, but only some of the time. I am pretty logical but when my heart tells me one thing and my mind another, I always go with my heart. So I have to question just how accurate these things are. I'm just me.
It is as accurate as you want it to be. It's a bit similar to horoscope readings. Depends how hard you are looking for it to match up.

Myers-Briggs is not at all similar to astrology. But you really need to take the official test to get accurate results - not some free internet version.

The internet version IS similar to astrology if you aren't true to yourself and answer them a certain way. Also I would imagine the results wouldn't be too accurate for people that don't know themselves well enough.

Bolded part is definitely true. The real Myers-Briggs test though, is very long and full of vague questions that were written so that one can't really help but answer honestly. For instance, to determine extravert vs. introvert they don't just ask "At a party do you stand in the corner or are you the center of attention?" a hundred different obvious ways.

People pay for this stuff? Man, I felt a little robbed investing 5 minutes of my life taking the free test.

The way I see it we ain't Christian or Hindu or Black or White or British or Chinese or Rational or Irrational or INTP or ENFJ or any other label, we cannot be defined in those terms, it is not what makes us who we are, not an apt description. We're unique and ineffable.
