Sure but this is my first class seriously getting into foresty. We only covered 62 trees in the first 4 weeks *sarcasm*

I could give you some resources if I can't figure it out myself. Where do you live?

Chicago south suburbs.

My roomie says he has no idea what kind of tree this is. He says it's retarded since it blooms (not sure what) in the middle of winter:

Hard to tell from the pictures and my books just came in. Do you know anything about the flowers? Might not even be native, looks like it was planted for ornamental purposes. I don't wanna give in and ask my teacher though.
