Lol, this is funny to hear, as it's a perfectly ordinary thing in this country. And it's pretty amazing.

That sounds so delicious, I'll have to keep an eye out for if they have something similar here. That brioche looks delicious too!

Never heard of that. But then you don't know what frikandellen, kroketten and hagelslag is, so we're even .
But what is it?

You got me there, though I may recognize them if I saw them. Banana nut bread though, is pretty self-explanatory.

I bought today:

A copy of Bass Player magazine.
A new skirt for going to synagogue.
Some gardening gear
A lump of brie for lunch
A bottle of San Pellegrino mineral water.

It's bread with banana's and nuts in it?

Edit:

Frikandellen

Kroketten

Hagelslag.

I do think though that you do have something called 'chocolate sprinkles' or summin'.

But then you guys don't have "Pepernoten"

You wouldn't want to miss those, trust me

I don't recognize the first, but the second I know...croquettes! Man oh man you just made me miss those so much. I used to eat them in Belgium all the time, sooooo good. I do think they sell them here, but I've never bought them.

And yes we do have chocolate sprinkles here. They're pretty common but I don't think anyone here obsesses over them like the Dutch do. I had a Dutch coworker a while back and he made his love for them very clear.

I don't care all that much for them .
We also have apple syrup, I'm not sure if you have that and if you have it, I wonder if you eat it on bread.

Croquettes indeed. I don't mind sending you a box but I don't think it's going to work somehow.
They can't be very hard to make yourselves.
