I bought another wool coat and two pairs of boots last night, after my other post. :o: I intend to return one of the coats though, I just can't decide. I seem to be becoming more indecisive with age...I think I'm doing it wrong. I may also return one of the two pairs of boots, depending on how they fit. But they were on clearance so I had to order both so someone else wouldn't snag 'em.

I bought more boots.

I ordered the black ones last week in a size that might be one size smaller than I need, but they were on clearance and that's all they had. So today they have an extra 20% off on them and free shipping, and they have the bigger size. So I ordered them again (haven't received the first ones yet). And I threw some brown ones in, because most likely the other 2 I ordered will be too small. Plus they were over 50% off, come on.

This is the other pair I ordered last week, that will likely be too small and returned.

I just ordered a stuffed crust supreme pizza from Pizza Hut. I haven't eaten a "junk" pizza in ages. I'm going to feel like crap.

storymilo 12-15-2009 07:41 PM

^Since I live in a city where one of the few benefits is extremely good pizza, I'm kind of spoiled and pizza like that just looks and tastes disgusting to me:p:

sidewinder 12-15-2009 08:22 PM

I agree. We may not have the best pizza in this city, but there are a ton of more independent or local chain pizza joints that make far better pizza. One of the best is just down the hill from me, in fact. But, it's raining, they don't deliver, I don't have a car, and I just had a craving for a stuffed crust. It's not all that satisfying admittedly, but hey, sometimes you just have to cave in to your craving and then you're good for another few years (or more). :D

CanwllCorfe 12-15-2009 08:24 PM

The only thing that rivals the amount of bars we have in my town are pizza places. Frank's, Vincent's Bono's, Main Gate Pizza, Palumbo's, Big Cheese, La Roma's, Route 209 Pizza, Kasa's Pizza, Francesca's, Cristina's Pizza, Pizza Como, Antonio's Pizza, Salvatore's Pizza, Palmerton Pizza, and Mario's Pizza.. all within about 15 minutes. Of course, if you live in a big city that's nothing. I live in a village

sidewinder 12-15-2009 08:41 PM

Oh wow...for a village that does sound insane. Sounds about the same as here, if you're talking driving distance.

CanwllCorfe 12-15-2009 08:51 PM

Yeah we have a population of.. actually I don't know. The Census isn't even close. Our Township of Eldred has a population of 2178. Yet Kunkletown, inside of Eldred Township, has a population of 7675. If I had to guess.. I'd say about 700 people.

storymilo 12-15-2009 09:08 PM

Wow CanwllCorfe that's a crazy amount of pizza places. Where I live (New Haven, CT) has some really good pizza places, but I don't even know if we have that many.... I guess quality over quantity;)

We just have an abundance of Italians.. and also Polish. A polish restaurant actually just opened down the street. Right in between the General Store and the other General Store.

Yup! The "Village of Kunkletown" is what it says on the very little sign. We have a lot of this:

It's not my picture but I do know that's off of Meixell Valley Road.

Dr.Seussicide 12-16-2009 12:19 AM

^^ that's a very nice fucking place if I do say so myself. Where I live looks nothing like that =/

NumberNineDream 12-16-2009 12:24 AM

In a village here, you're lucky to find a place to sit, that doesn't consist mainly of teenagers playing a multi-player game of Counter Strike or Call of Duty, and a more mature rebellious group playing billiards.

CanwllCorfe 12-16-2009 12:25 AM

Yeah it really is a nice place to live. Lots of farms and mountains. This is a realllly old pic off of Mountain View Road:

As for what I bought last.. samples! Creed's Millésime Impérial, Himalaya, Tabarome Millésime, Royal Water, and Royal Delight.

Well.. I only know of 7 teenagers here. We don't have any arcades and the only place we have billiards is at the bars.. which is usually filled with people around the ages of 35-50. That must reallllly really suck :(

How much perfume can anyone own? You should've made it your career btw, that's a rare passion to have ...

Great photo also, as always ... what i like in them, is that they don't feel all perfect glossy wallpaper material, which is all I can see nowadays in landscape photos.

I'd LOVE to make it my career :D I just have an innate fascination with the senses. Art/photography, cooking/baking, fragrances, and obviously music.

..and thanks :D That's an oldie. Probably 2 years old.. around 2 - 3 months after I first got a camera.

NumberNineDream 12-16-2009 12:44 AM

^ I know a person exactly like that, he's our sound teacher, so the biggest audiophile I ever seen ... plus creeps me out sometimes when he's talking about the fragrance we're wearing, but definitely interesting to watch him speak about the essence of the wine or stuff like that. He's also got a diploma from culinary school, and always carries a camera wherever he goes.

You can do it all really, no need to get stuck in one major.

Trying to get back on the subject here. Let's see what I last bought ...

I guess it was a salad two days ago, from the Uni's cafeteria, that I didn't even eat.

Twas a Salad Panaché, kind of something like that:

Nice! And it reminds me of a few shots I've taken around here, actually. I should go to the photography thread, I don't go there enough.

Those are gorgeous! :D I also have the feeling you took them with a camera far superior to my Coolpix. :p:

sidewinder 12-16-2009 12:09 PM

Thanks! The first one was with a (then) 3 year old Sony CyberShot DSC-S85 4.1 Megapixel, essentially a point-and-shoot, and the second one with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ2 6 Megapixel that I bought last summer, also essentially a point-and-shoot. Remember folks, it's not all about the megapixels. Sensor size matters. ;)

Craft wood and a miniature saw, I've decided to make a scale version of a gallows for my computer desk. After that I think I'm going to try and make a mini guillotine.
