I bought a tasty breakfast sandwich this morning: English muffin with egg, bacon, cheddar, tomatoes, mayo and dijon mustard.

s_k 02-14-2011 04:36 PM

give it to me!

i "bought"/booked a deep tissue massage & ive never had one before. kinda scared they might crack a rib because i'm little.

s_k 02-18-2011 04:37 PM

I bought my exes' old Laptop.
She bought a Macbook Pro for her school so I could buy this laptop for a nice price

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...aft/asusje.jpg
It's an Asus X50V.

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...fleurtopje.jpg
Pretty up to date machine. Had to steal the 1GB RAM module from my IBM Z60m which now has 1,5GB ram instead of 2. I found a 512MB module lying around.
The Z60m will be fine with 1,5GB of ram as it will run XP.
The Asus will soon run Windows 7 and I wouldn't recommend running that with less than 2 gigs of RAM.

The machine itself runs smoothly, but it does need some TLC.
The internal wireless thingy is dead. It's some sort of tiny miniPCI thing, so I'll have to find one of those and replace that.
Apart from that, the hinge got the beating:
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...raft/hinge.jpg
I Already ordered a new hinge a couple of days ago.
Will take some time to arrive though, coming from China.

15ml mini of Hermes Eau de Pamplemousse Rose

http://usa.hermes.com/wcsstore/Consu...ousse-rose.jpg

Grapefruit + rose water + light woods = damn near perfect spring/summer scent. AND it's done by Jean Claude Ellena, so you know it's good.

A mini Voyage d'Hermes

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_1DO5mpXw7c...320/voyage.jpg

A 7.5ml (one of these bottles), of Back to Black

http://images.saksfifthavenue.com/im...0R_300x400.jpg

It's probably now one of my all time favorite scents. Honeyed Tobacco, vanilla, almond, and raspberries. Come on now!

2 4ml "samples" of Hermes Ambre Narguile

http://uk.hermes.com/wcsstore/Consum.../020282V00.jpg

Because I enjoy smelling like a cinnamon bun. In addition to what's left in the sample I own now, this will probably last me awhile.

hissundaygirl09. 03-02-2011 10:43 PM

condoms
make up
hairspray
and shoes

Oh yeah I was just being facetious. Well, maybe not. It's, in the fragrance world, known as a "gourmand" scent. It has a dessert like vibe, because the notes used in it are edible. In this one, there's vanilla, caramel, honey, grilled sesame seeds, cinnamon, and rum (amongst other things), which all together create a kind of cinnamon bun vibe. Some say Apple Pie, but there is no apple. So I stick with believing it has more of a Cinnabon thing going on. It smells delicious!

yeah but that Cinnabon smell needs to stay in the mall where it belongs not lingering around all day. I'd never wear something that smelled like that

I just couldn't

CanwllCorfe 03-02-2011 11:35 PM

I do it. I do it happily. I wear it and I smile happily joyful. I would so sooner wear something that smelled edible than any best selling men's fragrance. Good lord. Boring, boring, boring. They all smell like fresh chemical nothingness.

wow :bonkhead:

idk man

edible scents are horrible imo.

I'm more of the citrus scented type and there are plenty of men's fragrances with some sort of citrus type smell.

CanwllCorfe 03-03-2011 12:10 AM

Oh citrus scents are great! If you like orange, THE most realistic orange note I've ever smelled is in Guerlain's Mandarine Basilic. It's NOT sweetened at all. It's tart and perfect.

http://fimgs.net/images/perfume/o.2060.jpg

If you like Grapefruit then check out Hermes Eau de Pamplemousse Rose, or you can also check out their take on green mango which is their amazing fragrance Un Jardin sur Le Nil. I think Hermes is pretty much the perfect house for me. They're accessible, most are quite affordable, and Jean Claude Ellena is their in house perfumer. He's quite a minimalist, and I love that.

Oh, and while you're at it, Terre d'Hermes is their namesake men's fragrance and it's unbelievable. Voyage d'Hermes is somewhat similar, but MUCH brighter and more unisex.

bannister 03-03-2011 12:30 AM

marlboro menthol 100's and a tiny lighter.
i really shouldn't have started smoking again, but i got a craving and had $6 burning a hole in my pocket... so i went to the gas station across the street at lunch and bought a pack.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will write them down and get them sometime in the near future. I'm running out of D&G. Do you have any suggestions that are similar to D&G? something pretty light scented.

One of these bad boys, except it's three floors instead of two and totally rehabbed, with a completely new interior:

It's our first house, so we're both pretty excited. :)

Are you willing to post pictures?

Maybe at some point. At the moment it just unfurnished rooms full of boxes.

s_k 03-03-2011 09:36 AM

Ah well, pics of the process are always nice.
I actually meant privacy-wise. I wonder wat your place looks like, but maybe you don't want anyone to know where you live. Ah well, you can always show your interior :)

To be honest, I think it's pretty hard to take a picture of my house. It's on a very narrow street so don't think you can stand far enough away to get the whole thing in the shot.

Do you mean D&G Pour Homme? The one in the dark blue box? I guess I'll just PM you. Before I go TOO far off track, I also got a sample of Hermes Elixir des Merveilles.

Last night I bought soups, yogurts, frozen berries and bananas to make smoothies, protein powder, apple sauce and vegetable juice because I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow!

Be prepared to be a lot less wise afterward.

sidewinder 03-03-2011 12:52 PM

I know. They've determined I was getting too smart and are taking action to prevent further mental development, or at least slow things down/take it a step back.

That's how it always starts. Next thing you know they'll be removing your appendix so you won't even be able to look things up any more.
