I got a little excited when someone gave one of those adapters to me. I was like "YES I CAN FINALLY PLUG MY HEADPHONES INTO MY KEYBOARD!!!"

Got myself a new turntable after frustrations with my old one, which was a hand-me-down and played a bit too fast.

A Pro-Ject Debut Carbon, for the interested. Probably would need to update my pre-amp and speakers to get the most out of it, but it's a great start to upgrading my setup. Might be the biggest purchase I've ever made that wasn't school or plane ticket related (give me a break, I'm young). Quite happy with it.

haha, it reminds me of McDonald's, when you see the burger being advertised it looks beautiful yet when you buy it it is all mashed up and ordinary looking, it's cos they take the burger on a photoshoot (seriously.)

Oh yeah I knew that already. It's like that with every food picture you see - menus, ads, recipe books, magazines... I used to have a neighbour who worked as a food photographer. Some of it isn't even food at all. Like the whipped cream on the Starbucks picture, is most likely just a plastic model. And on cereal boxes when you see milk being poured into the bowl, it's super, super white because it's actually glue.

BTW: I've been to that EXACT McDonald's that she was in, lol.

I bought this at an incredible used bookstore in Nashville the other day while I was visiting some friends.

I've been wanting to read this for eons, and so far, I'm not disappointed.
