Is this from their history of discrimination or have you personally experienced it?

Judging by their wiki, it's a history thing.

I knew there was a history, that's why I asked. Though when I read the wiki article it looks like they turned things around, but sometimes history leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

OH! I completely read the first part wrong. :o: Won't be the first time, definitely won't be the last. I'm somewhat surprised that there's so much discrimination in their history. I can see an isolated incident, but 4 times in 3 years and they're all race related? That's pretty crazy. I've only actually been to a Denny's once, and after looking at their menu we just decided to leave. We ended up going to a real dinner.

EDIT: I was thinking that something like this would probably happen at a Waffle House, since they're so prevalent in the south. Well, they have a history too!

it's history but I always make that joke whenever someone brings up Dennys.

One time after a night of clubbing/drinking, our group decided to go to Dennys and I kept saying

"They don't serve my kind here!"

"This is a racist establishment!"

I haven't experienced it first hand but it was funny to say that at the time.

"Let's go to IHOP instead"

And I bought salmon today
