I tried whiskey for the first time last night, a little JD. Without the coke. I thought my Oesophagus had been stipped.

Heh, yeah well I'm sure Jack Daniels could strip paint off wood, so your throat will definitely be feeling the burn. Whisky is very much an acquired taste that you don't ever fully get use to, still does wonders after 8 hours on your feet though.

i don't think so. i don't drink leisurely very much (can't really afford it), but i enjoy a nice whiskey now and then and i definitely prefer Jack Daniels to a number of high class veneers. for that matter, i'd much rather cozy up to a glass of JD, than say, a bitter ale or glass of wine.

have to say though, been enjoying this stuff a bit much:

i can't normally stand sweet vodkas (especially the garbage that gets tossed out by Svedka and Smirnoff), but this is certainly something worth trying. well worth the $22 a bottle if you've got some lemonade on hand.

you're the only one that can find them cheaply enough to care. cost of import + 40% alcohol tax = fucking expensive.

my father used to drink them, maybe when i have a steady paying job i'll look into them.

Jack Daniel's is from Tennessee over in America, not sure exactly which county, but I do know that it's ironically a dry county.

Yeah, I know .. I was hoping to make a point I think Kayleigh's post was a reply to mine, yet JD is obviously not a scotch single malt.

Kayleigh, you may have had tennessee whiskey, but you haven't tried real whisky
