Well when you're very old, it's to cover your pale, fat, wrinkly, hairy, vein and liver spot covered feet. I don't want to see that.

for the record, i've had the same pair of crocs for five years now, and wear them fishing all the time

Fishing is different than wearing them to school and such.

I can see them being used for fishing or as slippers.

I put mine under a restaurant heat lamp one morning this winter to warm them up and forgot they were there. when I went back to get them they'd shrunk. Sad day.
