I had some few tips for that, but now that I'm on mac I forgot all the names of things in Windows, it's a bit pathetic
 But I had the same problem, you should clean up all useless things. And I remember mine would extremely run slow when I would have a lot of apps in the bar that I forgot how it's named [in the corner next to the clock].
