Maybe some of you younger punks can help me out.
There's no cable or internet where I'm staying. My Verizon 4G LTE phone is getting 3 bars and working great. I have a booster for it that I need to install that'll make the signal even better. But using it as a mobile hotspot so I can get internet on my computer sucks. The laptop is running like ****, especially with videos, pictures, anything with lots of graphics. Even trying to do work off of our cloud is excruciating. What's my best option for improving the internet on my PC? Satellite? I'm reading mixed reviews about that. I need a gadget that'll get me good streaming speeds both in and out.

It sounds like your random access memory is too low or being used up on the PC side, but run a speed test to see whats up with your connection: Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test Post up your results from that along with the specs on your PC and we'll go from there.

There's the problem (I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a RAM issue), and after some digging it looks like Verizon caps out at around 0.68 mbps when tethered, even with an unlimited plan. Maybe look into the Verizon Jetpack, but I don't know if it works with your current Verizon plan or not.
That's the extent of it as far as I can tell. Good luck.
