Need more information. If it wasn't an actual wipe, but a boot sector corruption or something, the files are still on the drive and can be obtained like Plankton says, assuming the filesystem itself is intact. If the firmware on the hard drive went out, you'll probably need to take it to a specialist, who will have to remove the hard drive platter.
