Yeah like previous poster said, could you please give exact specs?
also which OS are you running?

Here are the specs for black ops and if ur "top of the line model" doesnt fit, that might be the problem

OS: Windows® Vista / XP / 7
Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 or better
Memory: 2GB
Graphics: Shader 3.0 or better 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600GT / ATI Radeon® X1950Pro or better
DirectX®: DirectX® 9.0c
Hard Drive: 12GB*
Sound: DirectX® 9.0c-compatible
*Call of Duty®: Black Ops requires an initial hard drive space of approximately 24GB to download and install the game via digital download (8GB of compressed files, 8GB of decompressed files and 8GB of installed files). Upon installing the game, 16GB (compressed and decompressed files) may be deleted from the hard drive. Please make note of where the compressed and decompressed files are being saved on your hard drive in order to later locate these temporary files for removal.

(and may i say HOLY JESUS 24 GB)

Sound card won't matter.
Nvidia what? 8600 at least? That matters.

What processor do you have? That matters more for performance sake, so it shouldn't just not let you run the game, but the video card may, if it's not compatible.
That happened to me when I first got Battlefield 2... had a nice laptop but it didn't have the right video card. Couldn't run it.

well i checked its a dual processor 4200+ 2.20 ghz. i just nmoticed my ram is only 1.95 GB perhaps that the reason i also had a problem wht the first call duty almost the same is this.

The game's minimum specs say Nvidia 8600GT or better.
I'm pretty sure the 6150 is not in the 'better' category.

Anyway, if you want to check for yourself, go here:
Can You Run It?

In the second drop-down, search for the game (Black Ops is in there, I checked) and click the button. When something pops up asking to install a component, choose yes. (this is a small program that will make your system specs available to the website for comparison.)

Copy+Paste the results here.

Well that just means your computer won't play Black Ops. Doesn't mean your computer is dying or crap. Games like that take a lot to run them.
