How would I go about checking if a laptop hard drive got rocked out of place or something

Working totally fine then I carried it in my backpack for a bit, and now it's saying the operating system can't be found, so I figure physical issues would be the only explanation. So what should I be on the lookout for and how do I get there

If the hard drive had become corrupted it probably wouldn't even boot up. Have you tried reinstalling Windows (assuming it's Windows you're using)?

Try running in safe mode if it prompts you. It could be that you need to reinstall Windows as well for lord knows what reason.

I keep burning tunes onto CDs and sometimes the sound comes out distorted, like there's fuzzy noises on it, any idea why?

I'm using iTunes to burn btw.
