I have two issues with my windows explorer:
1. When I delete or rename a folder the change isn't immediately visible. I have to either reload or go to another folder and then return to see it. 2. When I copy a folder into a destination where a folder with the same name already exists I don't get a notification about whether I want to combine the contents of both folders. It just does that. I'm currently doing some much needed sorting in my music collection and those two issues are really annoying. Please help.

I'm guessing, but try this:
Start > Search > (type) index and select "Indexing Options". Select "Advanced". Under the "Index Settings" tab select "Restore Defaults". I'm thinking something went cattywompus with your index settings. Other than that, it might have something to do with Page Filing and you're resources are too low. Again, just a blind guess. Edit: Don't forget to reboot.
