Fuck

FIXED.. It was set to enhanced editor which apparently hides all the coding. Thanks Nea. I guess that is the default for Firefox because I never messed with those settings.

Wow I helped solve a problem, I'm now officially part of the MB's geek squad. :)

Alright, so I've got a wireless mouse that's ****ing with my internet connection. I've read that since wireless mice, or at least many of them, run on 2.4ghz frequency, which is the same frequency as many WiFi routers, they can slow down and even kill your internet connection, but I've never seen any truly reliable solutions other than to get a wired mouse.

Reboot your router.

I don't think that's a long-term solution. Like, this has been going on for months. It'll cut my connection, but then I'll just reconnect it in two seconds and it'll be fine, until it ****s up again. And if I take the USB connector out the problem just goes away instantly. I wouldn't even use the damn thing if I hadn't started playing computer games which require a mouse.

Can you hardwire your router, like with an ethernet cable?

The Batlord 01-25-2016 01:43 PM

Man, I've taken one legitimate IT class. I don't know this ****, yet.

Either change the channel on your router or get a USB mouse. I prefer a USB mouse myself.

Isn't a wireless mouse USB by default? My mouse connects with a USB connector at least. Which is the problem. I've seen others talk about the same problem with wireless mouses, whether USB or Bluetooth, and also wireless keyboards. I've also seen some people who claim that changing router channels works, and some who say it doesn't, so I don't know if that'll even work. I think a less headache-inducing solution would be to just get a wired mouse.

As my class taught me, first rule of fixing computer ****: go with the least intrusive method first.
