Websites that don't let you leave. What's that about? Somehow they disable the 'back' button. Tricky bastards.

Yeah, you get caught in a loop. Some of them you can escape from by hitting the back button repeatedly, but more often than not, you have to shut down the page. ****ers. It's pretty stupid, as you'll never go there again. Then again, they've probably harvested your credit card details at that point so they don't care...

First off, why in the fuck would you ask that question in a music forum?

This baffles me.

When Microsoft introduced UEFI to replace the BIOS this made booting into Linux more difficult. With Windows 10 they made this even more difficult by removing the option to disable the UEFI in the boot menu. I've followed instruction guides on how to install Linux alongside Windows 10 but had no luck with any of them.

The alternative is to install Ubuntu in a virtual machine in Windows. Oracle VirtualBox is the most popular free virtual box for Windows and it's relatively easy to install and run a Linux distro with it. You can also allocate as much or as little RAM as you want.

I kind of thought it would be something deliberate by Micro$oft in their efforts to discourage the competition, but I know sod-all about Linux so didn't want to advance that theory.

Also, bolded: blame it on the booze.

They claim that the purpose of it is to prevent malicious software from starting at boot time from devices such as USB sticks, and not a way of driving Linux into the ground. But I don't entirely trust Microsoft on that one
