Afterwards, it'd be a good idea for you to install one of the two top free anti-virus programs available on the net: AVAST, or AVG. Both are great, but I personally vouch for Avast. When that's all set up, resume life... but make this one small change: Scan everything you download from uncertain sources with your virus program prior to opening/executing. Avast will alert you when there's malware present in any data that is being downloaded to your computer, or if malware attempts to download itself to your computer, Avast will alert you and let you abort the connection... This basically prevents viruses and spyware from ever getting on your computer in the first place, but if something sneaks past in a user-initiated download, you can doublesure by right clicking the file and selecting "scan filename". Quick, easy, painless. My computer hasn't been infected with any kind of malware in over 3 years. Not too shabby if you ask me. |
Fixed. I was just pissed and being over dramatic, not going to actually wipe my computer  I have McAfee, and it blocked 1 trojan, but I had another malware file that was continuously disabling my virus software. *Sigh* I know it's stupid, but I got lazy and stopped checking all the folders I was downloading like I should have :( I think I've learned my lesson, I'd rather not have to spend 5 hours removing crap I shouldn't have had in the first place... Oh well.

you should set up something with a real time scanner. i use ESET Smart Security and it's quite good. unobtrusive, low memory footprint, and it scans everything i download. it quarantines bad files immediately.

Lately my music files have been overwriting songs when I add them. When I try to play the new songs, it says it can't find them. But if I do a search for what I just added, It shows some stuff I already had(and is the new songs). This is really frustrating. I use mediamonkey.

So I downloaded an album that came as a 40 minute long track, any way I can separate the songs?

I've a problem with my iPod/iTunes.
When I plug my iPod in, it says that everythings synced which is all well and fine. But then when I go into Music it tells me theres no content, yet when I'm on the iPod summary page in iTunes, the music still takes up X gbs, and TV Shows still take up X gbs, except theres nothing there. At all. Apps are still there. Just all my content says it's syncing one, but it isn't yet iTunes is claiming the space up, with nothingness!! :( it's making me sad, cause it's 4am, im tired. And need some music to nod off to :(, please help someone? :( |
