Just remember that it's a consultant role, just like he's doing with the ex-employee. If he's OK with paying the ex-employee to do something, he shouldn't have any problem paying someone else. But again, I wouldn't charge for the assessment. The positive thing that comes from a free assessment is that you get an idea of what the problems are, and you don't have to act on it. It's free information. Then if your boss decides to use that information to hire the ex-employee to do it, he's no worse off than he was before. But the benefit is more than one pair of eyes on a situation.
And when you can get that for free, that's a good deal.

Freebase (or anyone) can you help me out here?
I've hooked up my laptop, running Vista, to the flatscreeen TV for my sis. I've connected the HDMI cable in both, selected "connect to an external display", it's detected the display, but when I go to switch to the HDMI input on the tv, nothing. I can't figure out where I've gone wrong. It should, according to the guides I've watched, be simple, yet no display is coming up.

Little help?

Thanks guys
TH

In Vista, go to your display settings and make sure it's set for two monitors.

Thanks Plankton, I sussed it. There was a little more I was supposed to read, like extending the monitor across and then dragging the titlebar of the video to the tv. Works fine now.
Thanks for the help!

Hoping someone can help. I'm on UTorrent's trying to download and install Adobe Audition. I downloaded the software at the same time as FruitLoops and had no issues installing the latter. However I'm unable to install Adobe Audition.
I was directed to the 'Installing Instructions' which included a video showing me how to edit the code.
However the example of software package used in the video was for the Photoshop and I have no idea what I was expected to type into the code to active the Audition.
This may sound confusing, but I am confused by it. I do not know how to get the application up and running for usage. Anyone got any ideas?

It's a bit dated, but you can download Audition 3.0 full with serial number from here:

So it takes a couple minutes to load a page with Youtube vids for a few weeks now. The thing that really concerned me is it took approximately two minutes for my reply to complete submission. WTF

Is it isolated to Youtube or are other websites slow as well? If so check your internet connection.
