Why Zune owners get so upset when you call their Zunes Ipods.

And you're bang on. Theres nothing wrong with correcting people. Ipod isn't a particular brand of mp3 player anymore to a lot of people, all mp3 players are referred to as ipods.

And i don't own a Zune, I own an ipod but it still annoys me a little.

I own an iPod and I correct people when they call it a Zune, not because I care but because that's not what it is. As far as I'm concerned, calling an iPod a Zune would be the same as someone calling my Hyundai a Ford. Yes, it does the same thing, but they are different products. Absolutely no emotional attachment to iPod's or brand loyalty or any of that crap. If I actually went to get a new mp3 player I'd probably by an iPod because I'm lazy and they've always worked fine for me. But if something much better came out, I'd ditch it in a second.
