No way do I want the drinking age lowered, I prefer spending my time in pubs, not playgrounds. And then there'd be all sorts of playpark stuff, and it would all become very dangerous with drunken revellers falling off climbing frames and swings.

yes but my point is most 16 year olds drink anyway.

Yeah but they have to hide in empty houses, parks and bushes, which makes it more amusing for the local police when they try and intervene

So many kids just think that rules are there to be broken. 'Course they are, its their age.. But I dont know if lowering the age limit would actually help at all, seeing as they knew before that they couldn't drink. They'd get bored after a while, 'cause there wouldnt be such a sense of danger and excitement... Meh, I dunno. I say just leave the law as it is, there'll be a few people who liten to it I guess.

Tonight I shall be drinking, rather heavily, in celebration of the mighty Birmingham City destroying Liverpool this afternoon.

Exellent!

Well basically I think that the age is perfectly fine...cause you can drink at home with your parents from 5 years...and could you imagine all the 12 year olds hanging around the street drinking booze cause it makes them cool and going into pubs being stupid and making fools of themselves...besides it's dangerous if you're too young...

No way, I so have to disagree with you. If they reduce the legal drinking age to 16 then it would be legal for you to go clubbing and that’s just wrong. I think the current legal drinking age of 18 is reasonable.

yeah seriously, 16 is way too young. You'd get a bunch of little girls in bars and clubs who can't handle alcohol at all, then getting taken advantage of by guys way older than them.

...or little boys getting taken advantage of by older women, which seems to be the new "thang" lately. No wonder all the good women are taken, they're with the 13 year olds.
