The longest I've ever been part of an online community is 11 years. I still talk to people from that community. They're mostly good folk. Sadly, a few bad apples really put me on a downer about staying in the community, so I upped sticks and left.

Yeah I've been a member of a forum for 13 years and I actually kind of find it depressing, since a lot of my favorite posters have left and I dunno, places change over a long period of time. I think some of the older MB members seem to relate on that one. I don't spend nearly as much time there as I once did.
