Unfortunately the MBPs don't have sli capabilities and you have to manually make the switch between graphics cards [yep, 9600m and 9400m], which requires a log out. It can be annoying but it really isn't a major hassle as it takes such a short amount of time to log back on. For what I use my mac to do the 9400 is fine, I only switch to the 9600 when the work I'm doing requires high-quality graphics for which it is very satisfying. I can see why Mac opted for the non-sli route as one of their major selling points for the MBs and MBPs is their battery power and they've never really tried incredibly hard to appeal to the gaming market. |
