left hanging

The other day I was playing 1 on 1 basketball with an old friend and I won with a really unlikely quick jumper. Every time I try to drive in for a lay up so it was totally uncontested. Swish! After the basket I said good game and put it up for a high five and my friend wouldn't reciprocate. I said seriously dude don't leave me hanging. He said I'm going to leave you hanging. I was like come on man but he turned away. No joke I was surprised at how upset I was. I really felt badly dissed. How egregious do y'all think it is to leave someone hanging?
