Do as you're told!
The op is pretty traumatic to the system, even if it doesn't feel like it is. If they say bed rest, do it. You'll be right soon enough Cheese. And don't be one of those people that start smoking again. |

But if you're going to, I suggest you go balls out, smoke through the trake and post a photo of it here.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, i really am. I really do hope you get better. But the fact you are still smoking just makes me loose all respect for you.

This might come off far worse then what I intend, but should it matter?
Edit - I do really sympathize with the original poster though, I imagine that's a terrible thing to go to. I've never had anything like that happen to me, but I have with people close to me. It was horrible enough watching it, experiencing it must be just awful. With that said though, you're still smoking and you're not taking the doctor's recommendation to sleep, I wouldn't go on like that and not expect trouble. |

weed yes, I kicked cigarettes a good while back because I just felt so ****ty all the time and picked up running instead.
that point is very irrelevant however, I was just trying to make the point that if he is so scared he really shouldn't be still smoking in his current condition. It's one of the most idiotioc things to do, it's like an a person with a shot liver still drinking, and complaining about the heath risks. I want to emphasize that I do feel bad for him, and I REALLY hope he feels better. And I'm sure it must be scary as hell and I hope he pulls through.

Blue, and Kevorkian...
What I meant to say by that is it's really hard to quit smoking, regardless. You would know that if you were addicted to cigarettes for any relevant period of time. Suddenly finding out you have cancer is a shocker, yea... but it's still just as hard to quit. It's not like us smokers had no idea that smoking leads to cancer...

Edit - I guess I just find it odd that you're bringing yourself to the end of your own life, and considering your life is all you really have, is it worth throwing that away to have a couple more cigarettes along the way? |
