Having twelve of each chromosome does not mean that you improve. All it means is that you get more copies of the same genes. There are many organisms out there (particularly plants) that have more than 12 versions of each chromosome and we don't see them travelling through space and time in anything but the normal way. Even if you only had one strand per chromosome, if you were a woman, you could still have all the genes of a normal person of your sex present. Male honey bees are haploid (having one set) while their sisters are diploid (two sets) but they're still functional bees. There are humans who only have one sex chromosome (some women only have one X) and that works fine. There are also people who have extra sex chromosomes like XXX and that also works because the extra X chromosomes (there are then 2 extras) are silenced in a process where proteins pack the DNA of the extra strand so tightly that it's no longer accessible for reading by other nuclear proteins. Extra chromosomes can also have detrimental effects, the most common being Down's Syndrome in which people get an extra copy of chromosome 21. Anyways, 12 copies of each chromosome or even more would not be good in humans. Most animals (aside from some lizards, flatworms and other exceptions) seem to do better with pairs of chromosomes. Those who have more still don't have as many as 12. It could have part to do with the physical environment inside our cell nucleuses, DNA takes up space and stuffing more in there might mean need for larger cells with possibly more mutations and crossover events where bits of some chromosomes stick on to other chromosomes. It also would give us a tremendous amount of DNA which we frankly do not need because it'd just be copies of what we already had - why have 12 when you get by on 2. For a human being to work with 12 copies per strand, aside from other problems, the extra DNA would have to be silenced as I wrote further up, otherwise he or she would overexpress many genes which would likely be fatal in a multitude of ways. What I'm saying is what you're writing is idiotic, also from a biology point of view  edit : As others have pointed out, we already experience the 4th dimension which is generally regarded as time, but what is the 5th supposed to be? |
A lot of this is just pseudo science BS.
It does feel to me, like time goes by faster now than it did when I was a kid, but that's just a human perception thing. |

I think people sometimes think of dimensions as some other realms where there are fantastic things and whatnot. I think to get back down to earth a little, you should think of dimension as something that explains where you are. We exist in 4 dimensions and to explain the exact location of yourself at a point in time, you need to explain it by those 4 dimensions. If you imagine there being coordinates for everywhere in the universe, then in theory you could give your position by x, y, z coordinates and the point of time which for me now could be about ~15:41 on june 23rd 2009.
Some particles behave differently and are unpredictable when viewed or measured from those 4 traditional dimensions. Then you can start to think wether there is one or more other dimensions you need to know about before you can fully understand and predict them. However, I don't think it means that we or these particles can potentially or occasionally exist in wonderful realms where humans can exist with 12 copies of their chromosomes. I'd love to see some logic behind this stuff, though. If this passes for pseudo scince, then the "pseudo scientists" should be embarassed, possibly more than usual. |

A lot of people say Im mixed with all three. hehe. That's becoming less and less importat though. lol I believe you've posted this in a perfect place. Music is what? 5th or 6th dimension i hear. We're moving closer and closer to oneness. Or, in other words, we're just waking up and becoming more and more aware of it. Hey, have you heard of xxxxxxxx? That music is amazing. If you haven't heard of it, look it up on youtube. It's truly healing. It shows that dna is not just a simple thing holding our genetic information, but it's also a vessel of communication to the oneness of all.:p: Thanks for you post. |
I've took the liberty of undeleting and editing the spam of the above post.
I believe it should be preserved as a monument to the Tomorrow People. |
is that what these idiots are calling themselves?
this shit makes Dianetics look realistic. |
You don't happen to have registered as Francis Begbie at Eyes on Final Fantasy back in 2005 have you?

For all of you claiming this is pseudoscience, have you ever hear of the right to free inquiry?
It's basically the hallmark of every scientific discovery. To butterflyring09, I'm not sure what you mean by indigo, crystal, or elfen. I'm a little new to the new age thinking. I'm a new New ager. I believe it's possible that I'm a lightworker. A lightworker is someone who prior to this life, was of a different species, possibly a different dimension. I would have reincarnated here voluntarily, as extraterrestrials are very interested in what goes on here on this planet, and not have recollection of my prior being. The reason they're interested in us is because they want to see us have a safe ascension. I'm definitely not helpful in the traditional sense. I just try to meditate frequently, and by doing this you're sending out more vibrations, which everyone on the planet will receive. Anyone can do this. Many believe Obama might be a lightworker. I've heard a lot of great things about the healing affects of crystal. Also, 12 light strands of DNA, I don't know if that clears it up for you Tore. Last year's Indiana Jones movie dealt with the 13 crystal skulls from Atlantis. 12 of these skulls are still in existence, and 1 has become etheric and no longer exists in the 3rd dimension. Apparently the 12 skulls each contain a blueprint of our perfect DNA, which is activated when they reunite. These will apparently be reunited at a time when enough of us have reached the vibrational frequencies that it will ascend our collective mind out of limitations. My last link wasn't too good, so I'm posting a new vid here: :( if anyone can help me by posting my link in vid form, that would be greatly appreciated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5b-kLvppdg |
damn what sort of noob conspiracy theorist are you? :p:
indigo are babies born underwater in russia who have enhanced psychic abilities. (at least that's what i've been told by someone who spends fair money on books about this crap). not sure on crystals though. my experience with those have been that they're headcases with major daddy issues. elfen well... you know those skinny pointy ear people in lord of the rings. yeah. exactly that. |
I think I underestimated you Miltamec. You're way more of a nutter than I first thought :p
.. But if you're interested in the magical properties of crystals and such, I think you should do some research into placebos. I hear they can have amazing healing powers. |
if you're into the 12 crystal skulls theory, maybe you should look into the 20 rings of power.

Good thread. Also, how can time "speed up"? I admit I didn't read anything because it seems (and I'm pretty sure it is) quackish, but a second is a second. It is a human construct, how does it speed up?

It does if it's cosmic time. It also slows down, but cosmic time has no bearing on the subject context of this thread and the concept being peddled....which is bullshit. Cosmic time takes it's starting coordinate from the big bang. |
Time doesn't speed up. Our cognizant perception of it does.
