also belguim = chocolate and gay turks

Wait, what part of the world are we ignorant of involving war and death? You mean YOUR part of the world? YOU are aware of suffering in YOUR part of the world and it bothers you that OTHERS are not aware of it? IT'S YOUR PART OF THE WORLD! Of course you're going to be more aware of it than we are.

But please, tell me everything you know about the brutal drug wars in Mexico.

We're so used to hearing about **** blowing up and people getting shot in the Middle East that it's not shocking to us. That **** happening in Paris is not normal.

Also, they're white and they live in places that look like the places we live. It's just human nature to relate more to stories that look like they could (and have just) happened to you. It's not an American thing. It's not a Western thing. It's a people thing.

148 people die in New York everyday day. Where's New Yorks flag? The bombings were sad but we can't honor every single tragedy.

kibbeh 06-23-2016 11:16 AM

honestly i feel the hate... i FEEL it. i don't even like to travel anymore which was always my favourite thing to do. in any airport outside the middle east i can't even speak arabic without feeling people look at me or give me weird looks. i also can't stand anymore 'random' searches i really can't. my parents warn us not to talk arabic like what is going on i can't take it anymore. and if we do speak arabic we always have to throw in english words i'm sick of it.
