How long can a dude survive in an alligator infested nature reserve? Well, with enough supplies, months I suppose.

He will get grabbed up, it's just a matter of time. Either that, or he'll be found dead.

Soon as this story started blowing up, I was about 80% sure that she was dead and that he was responsible. Seen similar stories too many times. The question of motivation is what's left.
