Nah I mean I get that and I don't think tattoos have to be some grand body design, but unless some kind of "good taste" is involved to link whatever tattoos somebody is getting it can be an ugly mess. Or at the very least be very boring and defeat the purpose of turning your skin into art in the first place.

TBH I think black people have an easier time of it. They have darker skin that reduces the amount of color available to them and makes tattoos less visible and less viable for someone looking for attention, so their tattoos tend to be more thought out and restrained. They have plenty of ****ty tattoos but if they get a bad tattoo they look less like an attention-seeking idiot for it.

I cringe just as much over their choices and rationalizations but at least the end result doesn't make me roll my eyes nearly as much. Black people simply can't get a full-sleeve tattoo of an octopus fighting the Power Rangers.

DwnWthVwls 03-29-2019 08:35 PM

Taste is subjective *cough* Jackson Pollock *cough*.. Monami Frost has nearly a full sleeve of pure black and i dig it.

and even after careful examination of her chest piece I find it unreadable, but I still like it aesthetically.

*cough cough* Frownland music *cough*

The Batlord 03-29-2019 08:39 PM

mehmehmeh

And her underarm doesn't look like it has consistent coloring.

DwnWthVwls 03-29-2019 08:43 PM

Yeah she has B&W portraits on the inside of her arm.. I said nearly.

The Batlord 03-29-2019 08:53 PM

Tattoo portraits are a great bet though they always look good.

I've quit smoking weed altogether and it's not been the easiest transition to make. I realized I was addicted to it and it stops being about the fun of it and started to become a chore. Those that say weed isn't an addictive drug are full of ****. I used to think it wasn't until I realized how much I needed it when I didn't have it. Close to as addictive as cigs imo.

OccultHawk 03-30-2019 03:51 PM

Congrats key

Why did you decide to quit?

Imo the phrase habit forming is more appropriate for weed and cigs and addictive should be reserved for opioids and benzos.

Alcohol almost seems like it deserves its own class.

The nature of addiction is so hard to understand it’s hard to pick the right words.

Cuthbert 03-30-2019 05:30 PM

I remember when I used to be so desperate for weed I'd spend hours collecting any little crumbs I might have dropped while rolling up. Affected my sleep a lot when I didn't have it.

The Batlord 03-30-2019 05:32 PM

I used to suck off old men in gas station bathrooms just for two joints.

OccultHawk 03-30-2019 05:33 PM

Hours?

WWWP 03-30-2019 06:14 PM

^ lol

OccultHawk 03-30-2019 06:15 PM

I’m thinking Fluff has to be joking

WWWP 03-30-2019 06:18 PM

WWWP 03-30-2019 06:58 PM

Not me, I stopped smoking weed over ten years ago, apart from one time in 2013.

Hawk, yes I mean hours. I couldn't sleep without it.

DwnWthVwls 03-30-2019 07:37 PM

Oh I thought he was asking the hours Batlord was working.

Good for you, man. I'm very glad the times of being stoned every day are behind me. It ****s with your head and your life, when you overdo it like that.

That’s actually a great review. It captures that living vicariously thing in a funny way.

The Batlord 04-01-2019 04:09 PM

When I'm watching a show or a movie or listening to a song that gives me an emotional charge, the kind that makes you choked up, I'll feel a certain wetness of the eyes, but when it's so powerful that it actually "draws blood" and makes me truly emotional, makes that moisture in my eye run down my cheek, I'll laugh first. Like I'm mocking my own weakness before giving into it. It's not a light laugh though. It's desperate. Rocks my body a bit. Like I've been broken and can't deal. Does anybody else get that?

The laugh rings in time with the sob btw.

Banned for baiting vicariously.

BassoonPlatoon 04-01-2019 06:14 PM

In all seriousness, mods joking about banning is actually pretty funny and cool.
