i thought my guy was funnier. cause his one liners had real comedy and his contempt for the audience and for ted talks in general was made so obvious that the room was mostly silent except for the odd laugh from one person here and there. people had no idea what to think or how to respond. where as your guy brought the audience along with him and just acted silly in a safe way that is bound to offend nobody. they weren't disoriented at all, they were cheering and laughing the whole time. |
So basically you don't like Watts because he's funnier.

nah i didn't laugh once tbh

not that there's nothing clever about it, it had wit to it and all that but it wasn't like hard hitting comedy to me just cause it was all a bit silly and safe and didn't really ruffle any feathers.
most of what is funny about sam hyde is how he alienates his audiences. so yea they're just not really the same kind of comedy, even though they were both making fun of ted talks. watts was more light hearted where as sam goes straight for the throat. |
I get what he was doing. I don't get the point of him doing it, or the appeal. Just another instance of people acting stupid you find funny. And that Michael Brown comedy skit is just racism disguised as comedy. I didn't enjoy the Reggie Watts thing either.

I love Ted Talks too but I found them both to be pretty funny.
