I know that the people who run Metal Archives are a bunch of elitist snobs, but I never realized just how elitist. Apparently Between the Buried and Me do not have an entry because they are not metal. Metalcore and deathcore in general are likewise snubbed. I... I don't know what to say to that kind of mindless nonsense.

But, but.. Alaska...

Apparently they insist that such bands are hardcore, without sufficient metal influences to count. I imagine these douchebags just don't like metalcore and have used pretzel logic just so they can snub an entire genre due to their small-minded prejudices.

I'd love it if there were a punk equivalent to Metal Archives. I'm sure they'd have nothing but good things to say about their claim that Suicide Silence is a hardcore band.
