This makes no sense to me. If someone wanted to abuse alcohol, they could always get something stronger - and easily. What on earth would be the reason to ban strong beers?

It's not strong beers, you can get strong beers no problem. It's super strength lager that is sold dirt cheap in off licenses. Crest Super, Tennents Super and the like, are 9-10% lagers. They aren't beers you drink one of like quality ales are meant to be. They are session beers with high alcohol content. And they are aimed at binge drinkers and alcoholics. I think I used to get four for four quid. I've never known anyone to buy them and not fall into the 'problem drinker' category.

It's garbage. There's no taste. It's probably akin to fermented dumpster juice. It's not necessarily the most offensive of any form of alcohol, but the taste is so unrefined as to not constitute having any designed taste. Whatever the manufacturers ended up with was just the taste they were willing to release. For the longest time it would make me wince when I took a drink. The alcohol taste isn't even that strong, it's just... bad.

Really want to try these beers.
