I've had both and I'll take the westernized version. Specifically the greater Boston stuff from years ago. Boston had a Chinatown that could rival the one in San Fran. One of the worst aspects of moving out here is that we've yet to find a place that can rival the stuff back east.

Both. I have a legitimate chinese restaurant where I live, and a Panda Express. So I do know the difference, especially in taste.
