Foo Fighters is considered to be Dad Rock now?


That's odd, when I hear this term, I usually think of this as an umbrellas term to refer to Arena Rock and Hair Metal(think Def Leppard, Poison, Motley Crue, Whitesnake, and Guns N Roses).

It depends on how old your dad is.

The days where The Foo Fighters played anything BUT arenas has been over for a long time.

Even if they are not like Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison or even Guns N Roses where those bands song's are extremely polished, detailed and processed(Especially Def Leppard, watch some Bobby Huff's videos about Mutt Lange's production tricks and you will see that Def Leppard's music is extremely processed and extremely polished, compared to the Foo Fighters where their music is well, relatively raw)?

If so, okay then.

Relatively raw like a well done steak next to a pile of ashes.

Not saying both of those bands are worse or something, Im just stating facts about how the music of those bands are produced.

Of course there are still some studio tricks involve in the foo fighters music though, keep in mind... Dave Grohl's voice for example, sound very different live then in the recording(in the recording, he sounded very Beatle-y, when he performs the songs live, he sounds very rough and not so beatle-y).

There is nothing so velvety soft as a freshly washed and dried scrotum.
