After watching enough war movies I've realized that I want to be a soldier so that I can wrap my hand around the back of another man's neck without it being weird.

I'm not even a man and I felt that. #NormaliseMalePhysicalAffection

I joke but it's a real thing. Like seemingly all war movies that aren't just dumb propoganda feature this trope as a way of expressing intimacy between men who've attained a higher level of bond than is possible in normal culture and it's unintentionally a condemnation of real life toxic masculinity cause it implies that running your hand down another man's sweaty neck is virtuous and yet never explicitly states that we should be willing to do that without gunfire being involved.
Deep down warrior culture is gay af and having been to military school where homophobia and homoeroticism go hand in hand I attest this.

YES I was just going to say why are many fascist things so homoerotic like war comradeship and machismo and uniforms and ****
Maybe deep down for some people fascism is just a desperate cry for love, who knows. That would be one of many reasons why men being allowed to touch each other would make the world a better place

Guys I just had an idea and I'm gonna dump it here for lack of a better place:
I've always wanted to do a performance of Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas, and YorkeDaddy's podcast idea made me realise that we could actually do that here. It's an ambitious plan and some roles are a pretty big commitment (and in any case I guess it's best to wait with this even if we'd make it work, because starting the podcast plus a voice play simultaneously seems too much) but I'm just putting it out there in case there's interest.

Actually, what makes my idea even greater is that I can't even act and I never really got into theater, I just reallly love Under Milk Wood. To be fair it feels more like a poem with multiple voices to me
